I only joined the forum to post this ! If the DPF light is flashing it is probably because it wasn't reset at your last service. Most common reason for flashing DPF is that it is the "Service overdue indicator".
First time - P243C dpf regen frequency, P117a engine oil over temp - oil level slightly high, checked PIDs - pm acc to high - injection correction done, checked boost pressure sensor - ok, carried out pdf regen -- suvvessful PIDs within spec, replaced oil, reset oil data - all ok.

Hi folks Bought myself a 2014 L200 last week, (after trading in the 2011) from a dealer down south, and unfortunately the flashing dpf light has come on the dash - noticed before this that the oil level was high and assumed it was over enthusiastic servicing

Drop the key. Get the key wet. Expose the key to any kind of magnetic field. Expose the key to high temperatures on places such as the dashboard or hood, under direct sunlight. If the engine does not start with the correct key, and the security indicator light keeps illuminating or flashing, the system may have a malfunction. The DPF warning light is currently flashing and this has occurred at the end of a 280 mile trip on motorways. I am advised that the DPF should have regenerated during a journey like that but clearly it did not. The car has been serviced recently. When this has happened in the past the Mazda Dealer has "reset" the warning light and changed the oil. Repair steps: Connect the DrivePro device and then read out the DTC for the engine. If the code P1336 is set and the DPF light is flashing while the engine is running, you should check timing chain as described below. Next, remove the valve cover. Once this has been removed, the timing chain, camshaft gears and valve train will be exposed.
The DPF will undergo passive and active regeneration, as you drive. If the DPF is starting to fill up, just give it a clean (don’t wait till the ash plugs are impacted, the DPF light is flashing, and your stuck in limp mode), reset, and continue enjoying your car!!! πŸ™‚πŸ‘ Happy Days Bro.
