Figure 1. Double-primary, double-secondary wiring options. The twin 110 V primary type transformer can be configured as shown in Figure 1 (a) and (b) to work on either 220 V or 110 V wiring. Just ensure that the transformer VA rating matches or exceeds that which is replacing - and given that the original burnt out "exceeds" would be better.
Switching to 220V will have no impact on the heat generated by the servers. It might save you a few pennies a month on your power bill, but with only 4 servers, there is no chance it will pay for itself any time soon. The unit of energy is the WATT. A server draws N watts, whether supplied by 220V or 120V.
I want to buy a AC voltage converter for frequent international travel with some small appliances, and should support step up and down between 110V and 220V; found this one
